Parent Events and Resources

Parents and caregivers, welcome to the Wolf Pack! You're an invaluable part of the Loyola community, providing guidance and support to your students as they embark on their college journey.

To support the important work you do, we offer many opportunities for you to foster relationships with your new Loyola family starting this summer. Take a look at upcoming virtual panels, online resources, and more! We also have recordings of previous events linked below.

Parent/Caregiver Online Orientation

New incoming spring students are required to complete online orientation by August 13, 2024 to prepare for the start of the semester. We also encourage parents and caregivers to explore the optional parent/guest access on the orientation website. You’ll find a wealth of information about campus activities, academics, and support services for students.

Care for the Whole Student Panel Discussion

At Loyola, we want to set your student up for success both inside and outside of the classroom. We invite students and their families to join us for a virtual panel discussion to learn about holistic programs and support services available through the Office of Student Affairs and Pan-American Life Student Success Center. We will also discuss common scenarios students face in their first year on campus and tips to navigate these situations. Choose from two sessions:

Session #1

Session #2

For questions or technical issues accessing the webinars, email us at studentaffairs@loyno.edu or call 504.856.3428.

Meet the Dean Virtual Town Halls

Students and caregivers can join us for live Meet the Dean town hall events held via Zoom. Department leaders will share some of the unique benefits of the academic college associated with your child’s chosen major. These events are optional. There will be a live Q&A for students and families to ask questions about academics.
