The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics + University Sports Complex employs students in the federal work study program to perform several different types of jobs, including receptionists, lifeguards, facility monitors, and game day operations staff. Work study students are chosen at the beginning of each semester (e.g. August, January) and if the student performs his or her duties satisfactorily, employment can continue through the life of the student’s federal work study award. For more information about the Federal Work Study Program, please contact Human Resources.
A variety of intramural sports are offered each semester, which provide participants the chance to compete and have fun. These sports cannot take place without intramural officials, as they play a very important role in the intramural sports program. Clinics are held the week before each sport starts, and are designed to prepare officials for calling games.
Intramural Official: No experience necessary and training is provided. All positions are paid and schedules are flexible. Working as an official provides an opportunity to make extra money, meet new friends, develop leadership skills, and become involved in the campus community.
